How it works

The number of days between two dates is the end date minus the start date. By default the end date isn't counted (Jan 1 to Jan 2 is 1 day); tick "Include end date" to count both days.

Business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays vary by country and year, so subtract them separately. Great for deadlines, contracts, vacation planning and countdowns.

Are public holidays excluded from business days?

No, only weekends are excluded. Subtract public holidays for your country separately.

Why isn't the end date included by default?

That's the standard way to measure the difference between dates. Use the checkbox to include it.
